About this image:

First exhibited in 2003, this artwork, entitled Mysteries, common everywhere, 98, uses patinated cast bronze 'seaweed', a kiln cast glass 'sea anemone' illuminated from within by an ultrabright LED, and taxidermist's glass eyes to create a sense of a contained surreal marine environment.

Is the glowing creature being protected from us, or are we being protected from it?

Collection: the artist.
