About this image:

First exhibited in 2007 at the Thunder Bay Art Gallery in our collaborative exhibition, CONFLUENS: Flowing Together, this multi-fired ceramic wall-piece, entitled (Sylvan) Reliquary, features a removable Sterling silver and cast acrylic brooch. In the Middle Ages, red coral was used to ward off the distractions of devils. I would like to think that, in appearing to be like red coral, the acrylic form would benefit the viewer with the same prophylactic effect.

Collection: the artists.
