Created in 2004, this piece, entitled (Spiral) Reliquary, features a two-part multifired ceramic wall piece that contains a removable Sterling silver and enamel brooch. A continuation of our series of collaborative 'reliquaries', the object functions as a complete artwork when the brooch is at 'home' and as ceramic container and enamelled metal jewel when separated. Rather than being thrown into a jewellery box or dresser drawer, the reliquary permits the brooch to be displayed on the wearer or the wall.
